I have a dream.

It’s a dream where I get to write, take photos, and travel – all the time – while simultaneously having a positive impact on the world. No, not by teaching people that you shouldn’t wear socks with sandals (that’s just the cherry on top) but by feeding hungry bellies, getting more children educated, encouraging people struggling with anxiety and depression and by generally giving everyone a kick up the butt to start appreciating their life more!

Cheesy? Maybe. Crazy? I guess. But, hey. You gotta aim high!

So here’s where I’m at.

Most of my week involves writing for other people… which doesn’t leave much time to write for myself. I also spend my “spare” time running around to auditions and taking the odd job as a Marilyn Monroe impersonator. (Beggars can’t be choosers!)

To begin with, I would love it if I could cut back to working 4 days a week in my “day job” giving me a day or two to focus on creating really awesome content for the blog as well as working on some not for profit side projects (like my One Girl campaign plus a few other things in the pipeline).

How will I do this? Well, eventually when I have enough traffic visiting my website, I hope to generate some pocket money through affiliate marketing and similar sources. But until then, I’m looking to find some sponsors (or patrons) to help fund my passion project.

How to become a patron.

1. Patreon

Patreon is an incredible platform helping to fund bloggers and artists, enabling them to turn their passion into a sustainable, full-time endeavour. …Actually, it’s probably best if you just watch this short video – they explain it much better!

Pretty cool, right?

Now they’re based in the US, so this might not suit any Aussies concerned about the exchange rate or currency conversion fees (don’t you hate them!) but it has the added bonus of being super transparent and holding us “artists” accountable.

Want to learn more or keen to support me? Follow the link below and thank you in advance!

2. PayPal

If the Patreon thing does your head in, PayPal is simple alternative that allows you to control the amount and choose the currency. In future months I’ll be offering some physical rewards (like you get on crowdfunding platforms) but in the meantime, here’s how I’ll show my appreciation.

1-25AUD = A personalised “thank you” post on Instagram & Facebook (for you or your organisation)

26-50AUD = The above + added to the Sure, Why Not? Facebook page’s “Awesome People” album

51-100AUD = All of the above + added to official “Supporters” page on this website with an optional link to your business or organisation.

>101AUD = All of the above + Commission an article or Vlog to be published about an inspirational organisation or person in your life (yes, it can be you!) Not for profit organisations only, sorry.

Thinking, “How dare this random girl ask for hand-outs just so she can do the thing she loves!”…?

That’s cool! There’s zero pressure and you should know that just by being here and reading my articles, you’re helping me to achieve my dream.

But if you wanna do something super awesome that doesn’t involve parting with your rainy day fund, then there’s one final option for you!

3. Spead the word!

The only way this little project of mine will ever take off is if more people hear about it! So if you know someone who you think might enjoy some of my articles, please share them via your social networks.

Don’t forget that I also have Facebook page and Instagram account that need followers – and if you really think they’re cool, turn on the “see first” or “get notifications” settings so you actually see what I’m posting! (If you didn’t already know, Facebook is really mean and most of my followers never end up seeing my posts.)

If you managed to read to the bottom of this page – wow – thank you so much. I really hope you enjoy what you see here and please, if you want to see something else, let me know!
